Once again, wanted to remind you that we are in the Year of Excessive Fire Element. You probably seen it on news the wild fire disasters in California, Arizona, Oregon, Colorado, Greece…. Two active volcanos…. Unusually high heat index…Those are the examples how Excessive Fire Element affects our planet.
We are now about to enter the hottest month of the year August. How does this Fire affect our body? What should we be aware of? How to maintain the Balance in the body?
First of all, Fire consumes Water. Hydration is something we need to take very seriously this days. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. You can add cucumbers, mint to your water to enhance it’s cooling property. Watermelons, melons, cucumbers, tomatoes, green tea, celary, star fruit, bananas, pineapples, mangoes, papaya, coconut and coconut water, peppermint, broccoli, cauliflower are considered to be cold or cool in nature and should be used liberally during this time. Limit or eliminate amount of coffee you drink (it’s diuretic), alcohol, greasy, rich food and avoid overeating.
What are the signs you might see indicating that the Fire is affecting your internal balance?
It might be stiffness in the neck and lower back, increased amount of headaches, restless sleep, constipation, rushes. If the imbalance in the body is prominent it might result in inflammatory conditions. Be aware that the sighs of dehydration are: increased thirst, dry mouth, fatigue, decreases amount of urine or urine more intense in the color than usually, dizziness, dry skin, headache. Cardio-vascular system is one of the most commonly affected by heat. Make sure your blood pressure is under control. If you have chest pain or tightness, pain in neck, back, or arms, as well as fatigue, lightheadedness, abnormal heartbeat, seek a medical attention. Avoid stress, have a restfull sleep and weekends, enjoy the healthy diet and stay positive.
